Data Engineer (Analytics)

Main duties & responsibilities

● Design, build, and maintain our core data infrastructure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.

● Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective data models and solutions.

● Define and create core business metrics and a single source of truth for the company.

● Establish data governance, quality, and security standards and procedures.

● Maintain adherence to organizational security policies and procedures.

● Ensure proper handling of confidential and internal data.

Skills & qualifications

● Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

● Technical Expertise: Exceptional proficiency in SQL and Python. Proven experience designing and building scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines from scratch.

● Data Modeling: Deep understanding of data warehousing principles and extensive experience with data modeling, particularly the star schema.

● Cloud Stack: Hands-on experience with one of the biggest cloud data platforms is highly desirable (GCP including BigQuery is a plus).

● Soft Skills: A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential.

● Must be fluent in English.
