Junior System Administrator

We are looking for a Junior System Administrator / First-line Support to help maintain and manage our company internal infrastructure. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. The successful candidates should always try to be service-minded and skilful communicators, willing to serve our customers in a professional and caring manner. This position is open to applicants without any University degree or with limited experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver service and support to our staff as well as clients via different communication channels.
  • Creating and maintaining records of client’s service incidents via the ticketing system (JIRA).
  • Working alongside numerous payment providers to accommodate client’s online payments through BridgerPay.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
  • Installing and configuring workstations/laptops.
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Assists with Network infrastructure and deployment of software and hardware, both wired and wireless.
  • Provides quality service and support in a variety of areas including but not limited to System/technical troubleshooting, Login/Account issues, deposit and withdrawal transactions and cashier enquiries.
  • Maintain a balance between the Company’s policies and customer benefits in decision making, on behalf of both the customer and the Company.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
  • Maintain an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
  • Log all hardware inventory and assignment to internal staff members.
  • Interacting with Bridger merchants by email, skype, and occasionally by phone.
  • Work closely with other teams to improve our product offerings and messaging around new products.
